Are you passionate about transforming spaces into breathtaking landscapes? We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect/Designer (Half-Day) to oversee the design, maintenance, and ongoing development of the gardens and landscapes of three prestigious estates in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs: Tokai Estate, Cle Du Cap, and Noordhoek Manor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Landscape Excellence: Lead the design, maintenance, and enhancement of gardens to ensure they are visually appealing, well-coordinated, and seasonally vibrant. Manage plant selection, layout, and sustainable landscaping practices.
  • Leadership: Apply your extensive plant knowledge to sustain thriving landscapes through effective gardening techniques, pest management, and soil health practices.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement seasonal landscaping plans to maintain visual appeal and ecological balance year-round.
  • Team Development: Guide garden teams to consistently deliver exceptional results.
  • Innovative Projects: Drive new landscaping initiatives, designing and overseeing projects for communal areas and private spaces.
  • Community Engagement: Organize engaging garden talks and activities to inspire residents and foster appreciation for the estates' landscapes.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth operations by maintaining detailed records of planting schedules, garden maintenance, and plant inventories.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related field would be an advantage 

Experience & Expertise

  • Extensive experience managing multiple luxury estates or high-profile landscaping projects.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape architecture, plant biology, irrigation systems, and sustainable design principles.

  • Own reliable transport.

Competitive Salary: Starting at R28,000 CTC, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 12h00,
